Eylem Delikanlı
Concept and theoretical framework designer of initial MMHJ.
Directs, manages and implements day to day operations and conceptual work of the MMHJ, digital oral history archive and Mapping Torture collections.
Founding member and co-director, human rights advocate and an oral historian at the Research Institute on Turkey. She holds an MA in Sociology (City University NY) and an MA in Oral History (Columbia University). She is the co-author of the books Keşke Bir Öpüp Koklasaydım (with Ozlem Delikanli in Turkish, Istanbul: Ayrıntı Yayınları, September 2013) and Hiçbir Şey Aynı Olmayacak (with Ozlem Delikanli in Turkish, Istanbul: Ayrıntı Yayınları, November 2019) Her oral history research covers the 1980 Coup D’État in Turkey. As a visiting scholar at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University and a researcher at Truth, Justice and Remembrance Program at Bosch Stiftung in Berlin she developed the digital museum project focusing on the 1980 Coup. She is a member of Çocuklarız Bir Aradayız initiative – a group working towards building a collective memory of the Coup D’État in Turkey. As an oral historian, Eylem defines her work as oral history for historical justice and her research focuses on theories of post memory, collective memory, mass violence and silence.

She is a graduate of the Information and Document Management Department of Marmara University and studying at the Graphic Design Department of Istanbul University. Hülya, a member of the Istanbul Bar Association and the Contemporary Lawyers Association, is one of the executives and responsible lawyers of the main Hrant Dink case in which public officials are tried. She voluntarily followed various social cases and contributed to work in the field of law and human rights. She still continues to work as a freelance lawyer in Istanbul.

Barış Bildirisi’ne imza atması gerekçesiyle 686 No’lu KHK ile ihraç edildiği Şubat 2017 tarihine kadar aynı bölümde öğretim üyesi ve bölüm başkanı olarak çalıştı. Makalelerinin yanı sıra “Kendi Oyununu Kendin Yap” ve “Liseler İçin Drama” adlı iki kitap yazdı ve “Meraklısına Drama Atölyeleri” kitabının yazarları arasında yer aldı. “Sen Gara Değilsin”, “Eşek Arıları”, “Bir Evladın Terbiye Hadisesi”, “Üç Kuruşluk Opera”, “Bukalemunlar”, “Dünyadaki En Güzel Şey (Ç.O.)”, “Dünyanın En Küçük Hikayesi (Ç.O.)” ve “Bahçe (Ç.O.)” adlı tiyatro oyunlarını yönetti. Tiyatro tarihi ve teorisi, eleştiri, çocuk tiyatrosu, eğitimde drama ve tiyatro antropolojisi konularında araştırmalarına devam etti. Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi’nde resim okudu. Bu süreçte Bant mag, Sanatatak gibi yayınlara çizerlik yaptı, Arabesk adında bir Fanzin çıkardı ve tüm sayıları topladığı halini kitaplaştırdı. Akademide Temel Sanat alanında yüksek lisansını kazandı. Aynı sene İKSV Çalışma ve Araştırma Programına seçildi, Zeyno Pekünlü ve Zeynep Dadak danışmanlığında çalışmalar yürüttü. Hafıza Merkezi ile mahkeme çizerliği yaptı, Mekanda Adalet Derneği ile çeşitli projelerde illüstratör olarak çalışmaya devam ediyor. Beyoğlu Sineması Dergisi, Bant Mag. Calling Mag, Rağmen Edebiyat dizisi ve pandemi süresince dönemin duygusunu hatırlanabilir kılmak amacıyla iki arkadaşıyla birlikte çıkardıkları immün sistem destekleyici bir instagram dergisi olan Cumartesi Ertesi gibi yayınlarda çizerliğin yanı sıra yazıları ile de yer aldı. Kişisel tarih, toplumsal bellek üzerine çalışmalarına devam ediyor.
